British Airways is the largest airline in the United Kingdom when it comes to the fleet size, international flights, and destinations. It is the second largest airlines in the United Kingdom as well regarding the amount of passengers after EasyJet Company. It carries the flag of the United Kingdom as it was founded by the United Kingdom government in 1972 to merge the two national airlines; the British Overseas Airways Corporation, and the British European Airways, plus two regional airlines; Cambrian Airways, and Northeast Airlines. After 13 years, the British Airways was privatized by the Conservative government. The British Airways is now merged with Iberia Airlines since 2011, creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), the world's third-largest airline group in terms of annual revenue and the second-largest in Europe. It is also a founding member of the third largest airline alliance in the world, which is Oneworld. The airline is based in Waterside near its main hub at London Heathrow Airport.
